Groups and Communities for DataLife Engine

In terms of functionality, the module turns an ordinary DLE site into a full-fledged social platform with groups, public communities, and internal interaction between users.

Users can:

• create their own groups;

• join open communities;

• send requests to closed groups;

• receive invitations;

• view members;

• publish posts on the wall;

• attach photos, audio, and video;

• add polls;

• leave reactions;

• leave comments;

• create discussions and reply in topics;

• receive notifications about group events;

• view other users' groups through their profile.

Three types of groups are supported.

Open group
Any user can view the community and join it.

Closed group
To join, you must send a request, which is reviewed by the community administration.

Private group
Access to the community is granted only by invitation.

General group feed

The module supports a separate general feed. Publications from open communities can automatically appear in it. Each group can also separately allow or prohibit the publication of its posts in the general feed.
